Life @ Cyata
We’re inventing the future of AI security, literally building the playbook for securing autonomous AI agents. Think groundbreaking tech that doesn’t exist yet, ideas that turn into breakthroughs, and those “wait, did we just create that?” moments that make this work so damn fun. Whether you’re in engineering, sales, marketing, or ops, every voice matters here.
We’re radically flat: good ideas win regardless of title, and everyone has the opportunity to lead. Small team, big impact, and your ideas move from concept to reality fast. If you want to define a new category and build something that matters while the space is still wide open, welcome home.
P.S. Yes, we have snacks. And very strong opinions about the best schnitzel in Tel Aviv.
Summary
We need a R&D engineer who gets excited about building infrastructure that nobody’s built before. You’ll be joining Cyata’s Core Engineering team to architect and scale the distributed systems that power our agentic identity control plane platform. This isn’t about maintaining legacy code. It’s about creating the foundation for technology that’s defining an entirely new category.
If you’re the type who thinks “how do we make this 10x better?” instead of “how do we patch this?” and you can actually execute on that vision, let’s talk.
What You’ll Actually Be Doing
- Building the control plane for agentic identity – Design and ship backend services from scratch, making architectural choices that’ll shape how organizations discover, govern, and secure AI agents
- Solving problems without playbooks – AI agents don’t fit into traditional IAM or PAM systems. You’ll tackle challenges around ephemeral identities, dynamic policy enforcement, and real-time agent discovery at scale
- Owning what you build – Take your services from design through production, including monitoring, debugging, and iterating based on how security teams actually use our platform
- Shaping product direction – Your technical perspective influences what we build, not just how we build it. Engineering has a seat at the table here
- Shipping features that matter – Your work directly enables security teams to govern AI agents that move money, access sensitive data, and make business decisions
- Collaborating across disciplines – Work closely with frontend, DevOps, and product to deliver complete solutions that let organizations innovate safely at the speed of AI
What We’re Looking For
- 4+ years writing production backend code in Java, Go, C#, or similar languages. You know what “production-ready” actually means
- Cloud-native mindset – Deep experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure. You understand the difference between cloud-hosted and cloud-native architectures
- You’ve built distributed systems that scale – Microservices, event-driven architectures, async processing. You’ve done this dance before and know the trade-offs
- Data infrastructure chops – Strong foundations with databases (SQL and NoSQL) and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.)
- You ship continuously – CI/CD isn’t a buzzword to you. It’s how you work
- Bonus points for: CS degree, contributions to open source, experience with identity systems or security infrastructure, or scars from hypergrowth startups
